My Sunday Photo

It’s been a long summer, but now the nights are drawing in, there is a definite nip in the air and that must mean it is time for me to get organised for my mini Autumn Fairy Photo shoot.

Playing with fairy edits is a lot of fun and I can spend many hours fiddling with the colours and wings to get them just right.

For me getting a photograph right in camera is important, but I really enjoy seeing what I can produce with that photo to make it stand out from the rest of the crowd.

Below you can see some before and after shots of the work I do.

Photography is an art, a technical art, but an art all the same.

There are many visions I would like to achieve. I’m hoping to try a few more composites this Winter when I have the time. I really admire Tara Lesher’s work and would love to be able to perfect what she does.

Thankfully my girls make great models and they are still young enough to like fantasy creatures like fairies, dragons and unicorns, so I use this to my advantage.

Working with 1-10 year old’s is such a joy, it’s a lovely age. Everything is still an adventure to them; the world is their oyster and the naivety is endearing.

Every picture should tell a story and I hope this comes across in my photography.

I am busy building up a range of props to incorporate into my mini’s and pumpkins and squashes will play a part in this Autumn season.

Long term I am hoping to get together a selection of pretty dresses for my little fairies, but for now I point the parents towards the best colours, fabrics and accessories in a seasonal Pinterest board. I find this helps them choose suitable clothing and gives them an idea of my creative vision.

My aim is to provide each client with the best experience I can, with images they will be proud to show on their walls.

Christmas is just around the corner and if you are interested in a fairy photo shoot but would prefer a different season, why not ask your loved ones for a Wildgoose Photographics gift voucher for Christmas.

Or you could surprise your little fairy for her birthday.

Each voucher will be valid for one year and there will be a selection of dates throughout for these to be taken.

Wildgoose Photographics is now taking bookings for Autumn Fairy Photo Shoot. These will be held in Towcester on Sunday 14th October 2018.
